Jönköping and Stadsparken

September 9, 2018

Tomorrow I start work again. These two weeks have gone by very fast, too fast. Next vacation is during christmas.

I took a short trip to Jönköping, Sweden. I've never been there before. I thought the city would be a lot bigger than what it was. There was not very much to do there but they had a beautiful park, Stadsparken, and a big shopping mall.

In Jönköping there's a lake called Vättern which is the second largest lake (by surface area) in Sweden and the sixth largest lake in Europe. I drove by the lake and while in Stadsparken there was a beautiful scenic viewing point where I could see all of Jönköping and Vättern.

In Stadsparken there were many playgrounds for the children and a lot of meadows with different animals. I would probably take many walks in that park if I lived in Jönköping. It's a great park to walk your dog in. There were a couple of restaurants and a lot of parking lots. I really recommend people to visit Stadsparken if they ever visit Jönköping.

Shopping and Tattoos

September 3, 2018

I have a two week vacation from work and one week has already come and gone. Last week I went for a trip to Malmö, Emporia shopping mall. It was raining all day so it was nice to do some shopping indoors. I only needed shoes but as you all know, most often a shopping day ends with you shopping more then what you really need or planned. But I did get a pair of new shoes and also some new clothes.

It takes almost three hours with train from where I live to get to Malmö and once there the shopping took about three hours which included dinner. Then it was time to take the train back home for three hours. The day went by fast. But I had a lot of fun and it was nice to get out and have some fun.

A month prior to Divas passing I made a couple of paw prints of her left front paw. I painted it and pressed it on papers and a canvas painting with the goal of making it into a tattoo. Well guess what, last week it was made into a tattoo on my left shoulder.

It's an exact copy of my beloved Divas paw but with different colors. I really love it and I chose to have it placed on my left shoulder so it can be as close to my heart as possible. She's with me in my heart and soul forever and now also on my shoulder. There are no words to describe how much I love her and I'm really proud to have her paw on my shoulder for the rest of my life.
